Participating in a golf tournament or special event that offers pari-mutuel or any pre-round wagering component can be an absolute blast! Trying to predict which players/teams will have a good event and wagering on them really pumps up the fun factor for the event. For those who are not familiar with the terms or don’t have much experience with pari-mutuels, here are some helpful definitions and an explanation of how the live odds to win display on our platform:

Definitions:

  • Win means a wager that the team will come in 1st place.
  • Place means a wager that the team will come in 1st or 2nd place.
  • Show means a wager that the team will come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.
  • Across The Board check box is an optional feature that allows you to input just one denomination in the Win column and it will copy that same wager denomination into both the Place and Show columns.

Odds Explained:

Live odds display in Homestretch Golf as an estimated payout per $1 for the team to WIN. The displayed odds continuously change while wagers are being accepted and confirmed. If zero wagers have been confirmed for a team to WIN, odds will display as N/A. The higher the odds amount, the higher the estimated payout for a wager on that team to WIN (i.e. The team is a long shot and receiving fewer WIN wagers). The lower the odds amount, the lower the estimated payout for a wager on that team to WIN (i.e. The team is a favorite and receiving more WIN wagers). Homestretch Golf live odds only are reflective of WIN wager traffic, and do not reflect any information about PLACE or SHOW wager trends.

Hopefully your Pro can add this fun Homestretch Golf feature to your club events, and wishing you the best of luck with your bets!
